Multi-component injection molding is one of our many specialties.

Our in-house tool and mold-making department is dedicated to developing and manufacturing a diverse range of tools for our plastic injection molding processes. This integrated approach ensures a seamless one-stop shop experience, guaranteeing quality and longevity, supported by our specialized in-house expertise and service.

Good to Know

Meeting strict hygiene standards for medical products is one of the biggest challenges in medical component injection molding. Our production follows ISO 13485 standards in ISO 8 or ISO 7 cleanrooms, ensuring compliance with all hygiene protocols. This includes automated handling using robots in enclosed cells, as well as semi-automatic and manual processes conducted in clean-room attire. We provide analyte-free production for specific diagnostic products such as PCR test cartridges, ensuring no foreign DNA contamination.

Two-component (2K) and three-component(3K) injection molding is an advanced injection molding process in which two or three plastics are combined into a single component during a single injection molding cycle, reducing the need for additional assembly steps. This multi-component injection molding can enhance both technical and optical properties by combining different materials and is often used to combine rigid and flexible plastics. Our expertise in 2K and 3K injection molding in combination with our own tool design and mold production capabilities ensures quality and efficiency of a complex process.

Micro injection molding is the plastic injection molding of very small, precise, sometimes microscopic parts. High precision in the mold tool and expertise in the molding process play are required to maintain the extremely tight tolerances of the tiny components. Micro injection molding typically requires state-of-the-art injection molding machines with electric drives and high precision to provide precise dosing and machine control. These machines are capable of consistently delivering precise results with high reliability, even when handling extremely small injection volumes. Micro-injection units with screw diameters of less than 10 millimeters are used to mold miniature gear rims or other microscopic parts needed by innovative medical technologies. Handling such small injection-molded parts is also challenging, requiring specialized techniques utilizing custom-designed grippers and vacuum devices.

We manufacture tools for micro injection molding with meticulous precision through advanced milling and erosion techniques, often with the aid of microscopes. Depending on the application’s requirements, we employ special processes such as laser technology or LIGA (lithography, electroplating, molding) to produce exceedingly small parts.
